Under the advisement of one of my professors in university, I began practicing yoga 10 years ago. After recently moving to Canada, I had difficulty adjusting to the climate and the changes that came with being in a new place. Within a few weeks I experienced a shift in the way that I felt and developed a more positive outlook. The more I practiced, the more clarity there was in my mind and some of my injuries from being an athlete for years started to heal.
I felt the need to share with others what I received from a consistent practice and decided to take on a 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2014. Since then I’ve explored several trainings within Yoga, including Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin and Yoga Therapy.
I believe that if you can breathe and do so consciously, you are already practicing yoga.
